Specially bred for the UK climate, this variety of Hunter Butternut Squash produces strong healthy plants and gives bumper crops whatever the weather. With a light tan colour, bright orange flesh and sweet taste, these squashes are delicious roasted, mashed, steamed, made into soup or added to hearty pies and casseroles. This packet contains 5 seeds.
Ideally, these seeds need to be sown singly in pots undercover in April, and kept warm. Once they have been gradually hardened off, plant out from mid May to June leaving 3’ (90cm) spacing between plants. Water sparingly at first, and increase over time. The crops should be ready for harvesting between September and October.
