Sow around 2cm deep in freshly raked soil that has been ridded of weeds. Firm down and water well. In dry periods, water green manure until established. Cut down before the plants flower, whilst stems are still soft and will decompose quickly. Decomposing matter can be dug into the soil in the top 15cm, or left on top as a mulch.
