Simple Homemade Beauty Recipes

Creating your own skincare products is one of the best ways to understand what really goes into the products you use on your skin every day, and cut down on single use plastic.

Here are two of our favourite easy peasy recipes:

Refreshing Face Mist

Time to create: 10 minutes

As we transition from summer into autumn, our skin can feel tight and tired. This refreshing homemade face mist is a sure way to soothe and revitalise your skin at any time of day or night. Simply spray directly onto your face, with or without makeup, and leave to dry naturally.

Green tea is known for its soothing qualities, and many studies, including one by Healthline, have found it to be effective in reducing skin redness and inflammation.

Ingredients:

Method:

  • Brew a small mug of green tea, and leave to stew
  • After a few minutes, remove the teabag and leave the tea to cool
  • Add 5 drops of your essential oil into a Nutley’s 120ml Spray Bottle
  • Once cool, pour the tea into your spray bottle, screw on the spray lid and shake to combine
  • Spritz onto your face and enjoy!
