Just add water, and compost pellets will swell to provide the perfect growing medium for all your seeds and cuttings. Then, when the roots have formed, you can transplant the whole seedling into its next home without any root disturbance.
Each pellet is contained within a very fine mesh, so you can use them side by side in trays like little plant pots. Alternatively, you can tuck them into seed tray cell inserts, or directly into pots.
The fine mesh is made from a material based of corn starch which is a renewable and sustainable source of raw ingredients.
These are genuine Jiffy pellets, which are created to give the ideal combination of nutrients for growing seeds.
We have them in three sizes:
22mm diameter which swell to 24cm wide and 43cmm high 30mm diameter which swell to 33cm wide and 43cm high 42mm diameter which swell to 42mm wide and 43cm high
All measurements when swollen are approximate.
